Welcoming our new Vice Principal, Mrs Tremble

Janet Tremble

We would like to give a warm welcome to our new Vice Principal, Mrs Janet Tremble.  She joins us from Oakmeeds Community College in Burgess Hill where she was Assistant Head Teacher.  She is taking over from Miss Gladwin who will retire at the end of this academic year.

Mrs Tremble knew BACA was the place for her the moment she walked through the door - ‘It felt welcoming and like a place I wanted to be.’

To get to know her better we asked a few questions:

What do you enjoy most about working in education?

Definitely the kids!  Also all of the characters you meet, both the children and the staff.  You never get two days the same which keeps the job interesting and exciting.

What interests you most about this new role?

The opportunity to see how every aspect of the school works.  It provides a lot more involvement in every area of the school, and the opportunity to work with more people.  As Assistant Head you have a defined role and area you cover, but as Vice Principal you work across a much wider area.

What are the top goals you plan to achieve at BACA?

  1. Getting BACA to a great school
  2. Making BACA a place where everyone involved; students, staff and the wider community, is proud of.

Outside of work Mrs Tremble enjoys running, cycling, and spending time with her husband and their children who are now adults.
