Students offered internships with Business in the Community partners
BACA 6th Form students are developing business skills through working with the local Business In The Community (BITC) group. 10 students have participated in interactive business workshops with SiteVisibility and CPJ Field, two members of BITC, since November.
Weekly sessions at BACA saw the CEO’s of the BITC organisations coming in with their staff to work with the students on key assignments, as well as providing an insight into the work they do. The areas of expertise have focused on: finance, marketing, human resources and customer service. The students also had a session at the SiteVisibility offices in Brighton City Centre.
Recently, this relationship has moved on to another level to include the two businesses offering internships for two of our students. This involved the businesses working with the students on their applications and then 5 students being interviewed for the two roles: finance assistant and digital marketing assistant. The successful candidates were Tom Ballard (CPJ Field – Finance) and Sophie Judd (SiteVisibility – Digital Marketing Assistant). Congratulations!
