Sponsor's Prize - Dillon

30 September 2014

Dillon was awarded the Sponsor's Prize for his outstanding teamwork and willingness to help out during Year 7 Camp.

He had lots of fun at the game and wrote a brilliant match report -

Brighton v Cardiff

I was happy when I was rewarded the tickets because it was my first time at a live match.  I put on my smart clothes and set off to go to the AMEX with my Dad.  When I got to the AMEX I bought a match day program.  After that I went into the stadium and I bought a burger.  It was very big and nice.  I showed the man our tickets and he directed us to our seats. The seats were comfy and had a very good view of the pitch.  Before the match I watched the players warm up and after that I watched some opera singers sing a song.

Then it was game time.  Brighton were wearing their famous blue and white stripes and Cardiff were wearing red.  Brighton started well and Bruno scored an early goal.  But Brighton keeper Stockdale made a mistake and Cardiff striker Kenwyne Jones equalized a few minutes later.  1-1 at half-time.  Brighton played well but couldn’t score because the Cardiff keeper Marshall made 4 great saves.  The game finished 1-1 and Cardiff stayed above Brighton in the league table.

It was a great experience and I’m proud to be given the tickets.
