Next Steps Bursary programme

Next Steps Bursary programme

As part of their 15th anniversary celebrations,  The Aldridge Foundation launched their Next Steps Bursary programme.

This was created to make sure that they can support young people to overcome barriers or challenges that may be standing in the way of them taking their next steps into further or higher education, or employment. As well as offering financial assistance, successful applicants will also receive valuable specific and tailored support.

A large number of Year 11 and 13 BACA students applied and after a shortlisting and interview process ten students managed to secure either a one-off bursary or a multi-year bursary.

Here are some quotes from some our successful students:

Bobbie: "I am really grateful and excited for the bursary that I have received and I hope to do my best to help BACA and the Aldridge foundation that has given me this opportunity. Thank you so much to Sir Rod and everyone at the Aldridge foundation."

Ryan: "I honestly didn't think I would get this chance. I'm going to try and use this to the best of my abilities and open up as many opportunities as possible for my future and career."

Chloe: "I am so grateful and proud to be awarded this bursary.  Words can't describe what this will allow me to do when I am at University. I can't wait to see what this has in store for me."

Ben: "I can’t thank you enough for the opportunity that had been presented to me with the award I will use all of it to my best efforts and prove that the things I have been gifted can help me progress my education and further my career in my field of work "
