My Kinda Future Youth Training Day
On Monday 25 April, four BACA 6th Form students studying Media won a place at the Coca Cola Enterprises (CCE) My Kinda Future Youth training day at the headquarters in Uxbridge, London.
Event organisers were impressed by our student’s previous film submission and, as a result, offered our students the opportunity to attend the event with the possibility of gaining an apprenticeship with CCE in the future.
The lucky students experienced a full day collaborating with other young people on a number of activities, including; networking, working in teams, developing presenting skills, preparing for interviews before finally taking part in individual formal interviews with CCE representatives.
BACA students demonstrated their determination and passion for working within a media focussed environment and proudly represented the Brighton Digital Media Academy (BDMA).
Quote from Fiona Adams – “Our BDMA students were brilliant especially when it came to working independently with teams of students they didn’t know.”
Quote from Ashley Lecheminant, Year 12 Media student – “I enjoyed my day and would recommend it to other people. It is a good experience for people my age.”
