Mr Misenti and Miss Plumstead cycle to save lives

BACA staff members, Mr Misenti and Miss Plumstead will be taking on the gruelling challenge of cycling 100 miles in one day on Sunday 31 July for the Anthony Nolan Charity.  Anthony Nolan helps to match donors to people with cancer and other diseases in need of bone marrow and stem cell transplants.  They are a charity with limited resources so they need help to recruit more donors.

“The more funds we raise, the more lives they can save: it’s that simple.” Mr Misenti and Miss Plumstead.

Tom and Louise are aiming to raise at least £1200 to donate to the charity and this will help them on the day to push them right to the end when things start to get tough.  Students have been involved in donating as there are planned events on the last day of term which seems to be motivating them to donate.  On the last day of term, if they have raised:

  • £500 – Mr Misenti will have his beard shaved off in front of the whole school
  • £750 – He will shave his head too
  • £1000 – He’ll also have his legs waxed!

If you would like donate and help the students at BACA see Mr Misenti without his beard again, you can do so here.
