Message to all parents and carers 17/03/2020

Dear Parents and Carers,

You will be aware that the government's coronavirus advice is changing day-to-day.

The new guidance is that anyone showing symptoms of a cough or a temperature or anyone living with someone showing these symptoms should stay at home for 14 days.

Just as this affects many families, a number of staff are also affected by this.

However, we remain open for students and we are planning to stay open in line with advice and with the wellbeing of our students, families, staff and wider community in mind.

We are also doing all we can to ensure that students can continue to access learning and support if they are not in school. We are using Show My Homework and Google Classrooms as the main means for setting and collecting work for students. We ask that as much as possible you set the expectation that if students are at home, they are accessing the work that is set for them and continuing their studies at this time of uncertainty and disrupted routines.

We will be sending round a survey later today to ask parents what resources families have access to in terms of IT and access to the internet. Please respond to this quickly so we can work out how we can best support where there are gaps. Please can you also make sure that all contact details that the school holds for you, especially phone numbers and email addresses, are accurate.

It is far from business as usual but we are determined to do our bit as a school to support our students, families and community.

Thank you for your ongoing support and from everyone at BACA we wish you and your families all the best at this challenging time.
