Our next whole-school Enterprise Day takes place on Friday November 15th, when students will be taking part in a wide range of activities. The focus of these days is on providing students with a chance to try something different, perhaps out of their comfort zone, and demonstrate their enterprising skills - risk-taking, problem-solving, creativity, passion, determination and teamwork.
This term Year 7 students will be taking part in a Science, Technology, Engineering & Maths day while Year 8s will be taking part in this year's Aldridge Global Entrepreneurship Week challenge - exploring new ways to live healthily in school and in their local communities, and designing and product, service or campaign to support this.
Under the title "The Future Is Now!", Year 9s will be looking at and preparing presentations on how BACA can be more environmentally sustainable, considering issues such as the use of single-use plastics, energy consumption, waste disposal and water usage.
Year 10s have a very different challenge, to produce a "play in a day" - J. B. Priestley's An Inspector Calls. Year 11s have an option subjects carousel focusing on coursework. Subjects covered include art, media, childcare, DT, music, catering and sport.
We will also be joined by local organisations who are again generously giving up their time to work with our students. On the day business studies students will have a chance to prepare and deliver business pitches to a panel of local businesswomen and men drawn from organisations including Southern Water, Metrobank and local technology pioneers Yomdel.
