Chair of ECB, Richard Thompson visit to BACA and Sir Rod Aldridge Cricket Centre!

On Thursday 6 April we were pleased to welcome Richard Thompson, the Chair of the ECB to BACA.  It was the first day of the cricketing season and Richard went on to visit Sussex Cricket. Our aim as an academy is to be the best state school facility for cricket in the country.  

Richard was met at the academy by the first team captain Guy and also members of the cricket academy in all age groups.  Richard went on to have a tour of the academy with a brief meeting at the academy and then watched preparation for the academy cricket season take place in the Sir Rod Aldridge Cricket Centre.  He left the academy "blown away" by the professionalism of all of the students. Richard committed to visiting again and will continue to work closely with the academy, Sussex Cricket, and the ECB so the `state school` model can be replicated across the country.
