On Monday 14th September aspiring year 7 rugby players took part in a one hour training session after school with hopes of making the squad for the Brighton School’s Tag Rugby Tournament. Ten pupils were selected to participate in the tournament which was held in support of the Rugby World Cup.
At the tournament on Wednesday 16th September BACA represented Fiji. The BACA players started the day by giving a short presentation on the Fijian national rugby team to around 150 other participants and coaches and watched other students present about the teams they were representing.
Sixteen teams from ten schools across Brighton and Hove played in the tournament; and were split into two pools of eight. After the first round of pool play BACA celebrated finishing third in their pool, winning 5 out of 7 games. BACA then went through to the playoffs and won 35-25 against Blatchington Mill.
