BACA's Poets Wow The BBC!

Recently a group of Year 10 students undertook a poetry project with local charity Little Green Pig , and ended up reading their work and being interview live on BBC Radio.

The project, called Through the Tunnels of Moulsecoomb, celebrated the 65th anniversary of the publication of Dylan Thomas' Under Milk Wood, inspiring Adbh Al-Muflahi, Bara'a Mohamed, Ahmed Bedran, Stanley Townsend, Wesley McGrath, Katie Gandey, Kelsey Brown and Sara Lingham to write poems inspired by their local community and spaces.

Adbh, Bara'a, Ahmed and Stanley visited BBC Sussex's studios and were interviewed on air. The presenter praised our students describing the poems as "incredible" and "all really beautifully read".

You can judge for yourself by listening to the recording of the programmeIt is really worth a listen!
