Brighton Aldridge Community Academy celebrates GCSE Results

Students and staff at Brighton Aldridge Community Academy were today celebrating their GCSE results. The first year where external examinations were sat since the pandemic saw both collective and individual successes. Stand-out students include Cosmo Calesini who had fantastic results of seven grade 9s, a grade 8, a grade 7 and Distinction* as well as as a full scholarship to Brighton College.

The results today follow on from a strong performance in last weeks A Level results. Principal Jack Davies commented, “The students have been such a pleasure to work with, they have faced considerable disruption over the last 18 months, yet they have demonstrated real resilience and a can-do spirit. I would like to thank each one of them, their parent/carer(s) and the staff who all rightly share the successes today.”

Jane Fletcher, Chief Executive Officer at Aldridge Education stated, “Today is a celebration of the achievement of every single one of our young people, they have had to demonstrate a considerable amount of resilience, hard work, focus and commitment in light of the challenges posed by Covid.”
