BACA Cricket Student Meets Karnataka Institute of Cricket (KIOC)

Ralph recently travelled solo to Bangalore, India, for a 10-day intensive cricket training programme designed to help him take his skills to the next level as he works towards a future in professional cricket.
He trained at the Karnataka Institute of Cricket (KIOC), founded in 1996 by Irfan Sait. KIOC is recognised as one of the largest and most respected cricket academies in the world, having produced numerous Test, International, IPL, and state-level players over the past 30 years.

Over nine days, Ralph trained in intense temperatures, spending around six hours each day at the academy. His schedule included facing spin bowling, mastering sweep and reverse-sweep techniques, technical batting and bowling drills, power hitting, mindset development sessions, and two matches to apply what he had learned in training.
Beyond the cricket, Ralph spent time with like-minded athletes and formed lasting friendships with players and coaches from New Zealand, Australia, England, and even members of the Indian State Teams.
Ralph plans to return to KIOC in April 2026 to continue his development and hopes to pursue further cricket opportunities overseas after his time at BACA.
