Apply now for BACA’s Pegasus Awards to fund your fun, local learning activities

Pegasus project logoStudents from Brighton Aldridge Community Academy (BACA) worked with mentors from Lloyds Banking Group Brighton last term to develop a way to distribute £4,500 of funding locally. Students in years 7, 8, 9 and 10 formed a steering group to design the Pegasus logo, they devised a mission statement for the project and developed an application process.  Part of the application process will include a whole school vote so that all BACA students can take part in determining how the money is allocated.

The student steering group decided the money will go towards funding “fun learning activities in Bevendean, Coldean and Moulsecoomb for young people (aged between 5 and 18 yrs. old) so that they can be safe, stay fit and be connected to their community.”

Groups can apply for up to £500 to help achieve this vision. Your group can apply by completing an eligibility criteria form and submitting a 2 min (max) video by 5pm on Wednesday 10 February 2016 to pegasus@baca-uk.org.uk.  See our short film guidance for video advice.
