Aldridge KSD Construction Academy
VOCATIONAL CONSTRUCTION COURSES at baca
The construction sector continues to thrive locally. Major projects such as Circus Street and New England House, combined the Council’s Homes For Brighton and Hove initiative, which aims to create 1,000 new homes in the city, are all creating demand for skilled trades.
BACA’s Construction Centre offers students Level 1, 2 and 3 vocational construction courses in site carpentry and bench joinery, electrical installation, plumbing services and multi trades, providing students with the skills and knowledge needed to move into apprenticeships, jobs or higher education.
We work with industry partners to provide work experience placements and Enrichment opportunities on projects in the community across the city during course programmes and apprenticeship opportunities afterwards. The first-hand experience of real careers gives students a real advantage when applying for jobs.
Our first class facilities with up to date tools, equipment and machinery fully qualified and experienced tutors offer a training programme that will guide you through a comprehensive learning programme which will give the skills and confidence to progress in your chosen career.
The brand new state-of-the-art BACA Construction Centre is part of our superb campus close to the Amex Stadium in Falmer. Easy to reach by bus or train, our local students spend less time travelling to college and more time getting the qualifications and experience they need to work in this growing industry.
BACA College has dedicated IT and common rooms to relax and socialise in during break times. Uniquely, construction students are also able to take advantage of our outstanding sports facilities, combining their construction training with either the Aldridge Football Academy or the Aldridge Cricket Academy. Both sports academies give students access to top-class coaching, fitness training, playing facilities and fixtures.
