Letters Home & BACA Buzz
BACA has an experienced team who work with families to assist with their transition into the Academy. This means that we can offer appropriate support for individual needs. We believe in fostering close links between homes and school. Therefore, at BACA, parents and carers are welcomed, informed and involved in their child’s education.
There are a couple of different ways in which we insure that parents and carers are informed to the Academy's activities. You can download the Xpressions app on your smart phone (details below), browse the letters section or you will receive the BACA Buzz via the Xpressions app. All are published here.
Good communication between the academy and parents and carers is important to us. There are various events throughout the year giving parents and carers the opportunity to socialise and meet each other as well as meet members of the academy team. We greatly value the support of parents and carers of students at BACA whether it is by supporting your child in their interests and activities at the academy or by giving up your time to help organise events at the Academy.

Parental Access to Student Information. View your child’s information on your mobile phone.
Parents can now receive information from the Academy in an easier more effective way. Groupcall’s Xpressions App is a service created by the school communication company Groupcall.
The app is completely free to use and can be installed on your mobile phone or tablet. It currently supports both Apple iOS and Android devices (with Windows mobile to follow). You will be able to see information about your children that BACA publishes. Initially this will be attendance data, achievement information and letters home, and will eventually grow to include behaviour data.
When signing up to the App please use the email address you provided in your child's registration form.
What will it show me?
Once installed and set up you will be able to see the following information and messages sent by the school delivered directly to the app, and you can also reply to selected messages free of charge.
- Attendance records and absences
- School Term
- Achievement records
- Behaviour events
