Year 13s Preparing for Next Steps – Thursday 28th May 12.30pm
20 minutes plus time for Q&A
In this session careers advisor Terry Davy Young will cover how to support your Year 13 children in a time where motivation may be lacking. It will cover how to prepare for university, apprenticeships, moving into the world of work and what you can do if your child is not sure what the next step is for them.
Year 12s Planning Next Steps – Wednesday 27th May 12.30pm
In this session careers advisor Miranda Glavin will cover what year 12s should be thinking about now including top tips on how to choose a university and course, and how to write a personal statement and apprenticeship opportunities. There will then be time for questions from you – you can send a question in advance or use the text function during the live session.
Year 11s Preparing for Next Steps – Tuesday 26th May 12.30pm
In this session careers advisor Miranda Glavin will talk about what year 11s need to do now and how you can support your Year 11 children to navigate results day and as they move on from school. Miranda will then answer questions from you – you can send a question in advance or use the text function during the live session.
Year 10s Planning Next Steps - Friday 29th May 12.30pm
20 minutes plus time for Q&A
In this session careers advisor Mark Anderson will cover tips on how to support your Year 10 children to prepare for post 16 choices including college and apprenticeships. We will look at what research they can undertake now to help them get thinking about the right pathway for them.
