Open Evening

Please see the information below from our Year 7 Opening Evening in September 2021.

Welcome to BACA!

At BACA we recognise that the transition from primary to secondary school is an ex

citing time, but can also be a daunting one for both students and parents alike.

To help with the transition from primary school we have an extensive programme in place coordinated by the our designated transition team.  They ensure that all students receive a positive, informative and motivational experience before starting at BACA

We want to make sure this significant step in your child’s education is smooth and supported.  As a school we aim to help students:

  • Develop new friendships as they start their new school

  • Settle well into secondary life by offering many activities, after school clubs and revision groups

  • Understand and adjust to the many different routines associated with secondary school

  • Enjoy studying the variety of new subjects at secondary school and meeting new friends

Year 7 students will be provided with lunch (free of charge) on their first two days at BACA.

When I was younger I did not really understand what it feels like to be proud of myself. I did not have the freedom in my learning that I have today. - Hear Year 7 student Maddy Luckhurst interviewed by the BBC on starting secondary school life at BACA and being yourself

The transition to secondary school is an exciting process and we work with parents and primary schools to ensure that it is smooth and positive. You can read more about this on our Primary to Secondary School page. Students joining us in Year 7 are embarking on an exciting seven year journey.
